Dr. Andi O’Conor has been teaching communication skills since 1982. She has worked with National Park Service Rangers, University professors, doctors, teachers, actors, television anchorpersons, and corporate executives. As a professional public speaking coach, she helps presenters give more effective, heartfelt and memorable presentations. She works with speakers on both content and presentation, helping draft lively, concise language as well as helping speakers overcome nervousness and fear.
For business clients, she helps marketing and sales teams streamline presentations and work together more effectively in order to produce on-target presentations for their prospective clients.
She gives specific tips and tools that allow speakers to work independently to improve their communication skills and more fully enjoy their speaking engagements.
Andi’s philosophy is that public speaking can be an enjoyable enterprise, and that the speaker and coach comprise a collaborative team.
Andi holds a PhD in Educational Policy and Practice from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and has been on the faculty of Front Range Community College, The University of Colorado at Boulder, and Ohio University.
